Hunter's Moon Harvest Fest Saturday!


Pickers & Grinners Hunter’s Moon Harvest Festival has a great line up of farm produce, handcrafted wares, activities and music set for Saturday in downtown Maysville.

The market will open at 9 a.m. at lovely Limestone Park with farm fresh seasonal produce, free range eggs, and value added products like jams, jellies, mustards and bread from members of Mason County Farmers Market. Emmett Ridge Farms from Southern Ohio will have beef, pork and poultry raised non-GMO with environmentally friendly methods.

Sunflower Sundries, from Robertson County, will have fresh ground cornmeal and grits, plus hominy and chips! Sample some wild blackberry jam or hot garlic mustard on a corn chip along with some pickled okra.

MapleRidge will feature soaps and skin care products crafted in Bracken County, and YourBest Self Care will have self-branded organic lotions made in Maysville, LynMade bath and laundry soap handcrafted in Lewis County, as well as natural topical pain relief creams. Check out the decorative fall wreaths and other items from Teresa's Crafts and Lisa Estep's Primitives as well as other handcrafted products.

Musical entertainment will kick off at 10 a.m. with the Liberty Band followed by Old School Project at 11 a.m. Grab lunch from a food vendor and enjoy Jack Vamp at noon. Music will continue all afternoon and into the evening with Rome Hill Ensemble at 1 p.m., the Gunther Bros. at 2 p.m, Rockne Riddlebarger at 3 p.m., followed by Mostly Moseley at 4 p.m. Nick Denhaam will perform at 5 p.m, Fancy Free Cloggers at 6 p.m., and the Wood Bees at 7 p.m.

So get a glass of wine at Portugalia or a beer from Knosville Brewing Co., grab something delicious from a food vendor and peruse the market stalls filled with handcrafted jewelry, wreaths, primitive crafts and more!

Our first market in June was a huge success, and we hope to see you this Saturday, Oct. 15th for our autumn event. Don't miss it!
